Introduction Unit
In our first unit we will be learning about scientific reasoning. We will be conducting experiments to learn about experimental procedure, collecting data, analyzing data, and analyzing relationships between variables.
Standards
SR1 - I can design controlled experiments by identifying and distinguishing among independent variables, dependent variables, and constants.
SR2 - I can collect, record, and represent data in a meaningful way, using a data table or graph.
SR3 - I can recognize linear, quadratic, and inverse relationships from experimental data, draw a best fit line, and find its equation.
SR4 - I can describe the physical meaning of the constant and y-intercept of a relationship between variables.
SR5 - I use scaling rules and proportionality statements and use them to solve problems based on change.
